Knocking

I wish I could unfold you,
Spread out your rounded form,
Look into your sullen eyes,
And somehow make them bright.

I wish I could hear you,
Scream until you’re hollowed out,
Empty of the pain,
Devoid of all the hurt.

I wish you’d be filled up again,
With soothing, happy songs,
Singing from a heart that’s light,
Relieved of troubled thoughts.

I wish to help,

Am I allowed?

I wish I could hear you say,
“Your wish is my command”.
